Matthew C. Lee, M.D., R.Ph., M.S., Doctor and Pharmacist
Doctor
Dr. Lee is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia, where he currently practices as both a doctor and pharmacist. He has a vast array of experience in both fields, though all of his experience is united by an association with and reliance on pharmacology.
As a primary care physician and owner of eLEEte Physicians, LLC, he performs acute care and disease statement management for patients. He established the care facility and has been providing quality care to patients for years in the fields of Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, and Family Practice.
He is very familiar with Worker’s Compensation issues and regularly performs medication reviews in specific cases.
Pharmacist
As a pharmacist, Dr. Lee has worked for both retail and hospital pharmacies, including Parallon Solutions Pharmacy and Wal-Mart, serving U.S. citizens by providing patient care activities to ensure safe and effective drug therapy. He is also responsible for screening for drug interactions, allergies, or duplications, appropriate diagnosis, and renal and liver function prior to order entry. In his positions, he investigates and reports adverse drug events and medication incidents, reviews and interprets all physician orders received using patient profiles, and monitors incompatibilities, concentrations, and rates of intravenous drugs.
Education and Certifications
Dr. Lee received his Doctorate in Medicine (M.D.) from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 2004 and performed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center from 2004-2005. He earned a Master’s of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1999, a Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from the Medical College of Virginia in 1995, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992.
Dr. Lee is certified as a Medical Review Officer, a physicians who oversees workplace drug screens. He holds a certification in Musculoskeletal Exam and Treatment Techniques from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Dr. Lee is licensed to practice medicine in Virginia and he is licensed to practice pharmacy in Virginia, North Carolina and Kentucky.
Dr. Lee is a Local Medical Examiner for the Central District Commonwealth of Virginia, appointed by the Chief Medical Examiner in 2012.
